PSI’s Director serves as the official spokesperson of the Institute when an official Institutional position is required.
The Public Information Officer generally serves as the principal point of contact with the media, generates PSI press releases, and oversees news items on PSI’s website.
PSI scientists are free to respond to requests from the media regarding their research or professional expertise. In such cases, the Public Information Officer should be informed so that the Institute can benefit from a developing story, depending on the circumstances.
