If the Institute offices in Tucson or Colorado are to be closed because of inclement weather or other emergency, each employee working at the closed facility will be notified by email or telephone as early as possible. The closing decision in Colorado will be made by Than Putzig, or his designee, and employees normally working at that location will follow that decision. The decision to close the Tucson headquarters will be made by the Director and employees will follow that decision. Notification that the Tucson headquarters are closed will be made via email to all PSI employees.
Exempt employees will be expected to work from home during an office closing; any vacation time scheduled will not be affected. Corporate Staff will be given instructions on keeping operations going until the office re-opens. Non-exempt employees normally scheduled to be at the office on a day that it is closed should work with their supervisors to re-schedule their hours.
