Policy
An employee’s employment may be terminated at any time. There may be situations in which management may wish to provide counseling or warnings. In circumstances of egregious behavior and/or serious violation of policy, however, termination may be immediate. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
- Grossly unethical, inappropriate, and/or criminal behavior (e.g., misuse of PSI funds, acts of workplace violence, or violence outside the workplace);
- Severe disregard for PSI policy (e.g., sexual harassment, failure to comply with safety and environmental regulations);
- Actions or behavior that have a severe negative impact on PSI’s credibility (e.g., violation of the Conflict of Interest Policy); and
- Misrepresentation of facts (e.g., educational qualifications, criminal record).
